These handcrafted wooden mallets are visually stunning, while also designed to offer deals durability and handheld comfort. This type of mallet can deliver the power and precision needed in any woodworking project, where the flat face delivers accuracy and the weight delivers force. What you see is only the wood's natural beauty (none of our products are stained or dyed), and no two pieces are the same.

The mallet head and handle are joined with a mortise and tenon joint and secured with wedges to prevent the head from ever coming loose. Continued usage of the mallet tightens the joints, making the mallet stronger over time.

Certain woods may be better suited for certain applications. Katalox, Bloodwood, and Bubinga are harder woods and therefore better for woodworking applications, whereas Maple is softer and can be used for cooking applications.

All the wood provided by our supplier is certified for sustainable harvesting, including from the NHLA and Appalachian Hardwood Association.

FINISH:
The mallets are sanded and triple-coated with food-safe polymerized linseed oil and beeswax for long-lasting protection.

We handcraft most of our items to order in our two-person woodshop. Our current lead time for this item is approximately 2 weeks from the date of purchase. We do our best to make and ship our items as quickly as possible and often run ahead of schedule.
