I got it a few years ago to be part of my “hurricane prep kit” while living on the Gulf Coast. Tested it and flushed it out with municipal water, but never used it. All the components are present with exception of the little tube of silicone lubricant. The filter is reported to remove 99.9999% of bacteria, and 99.9% of Giardia and Cryptosporidium and is supposed to be good for 750 liters. This system retails for $80 at REI.
