Here we have a very rare and unusual item in the form of a tramp art cross.
This piece we believe dates back to the early twentieth century and is a real piece deals of original folk art.
As you can see in the photos there are a couple of losses here and there which is not surprising as this is such a fragile item.
The right hand side of the cross has one section missing and there is a section missing just beneath the cross.
The cross is made of a very light balsa type wood, I know that tramp art pieces used to be a made with old cigar boxes so very light material. The whole piece weighs just over 100 grams which is amazing considering its size.
A fascinating and unique antique that would be a great addition to any collection. A must for any tramp art enthusiast.
