This beautiful Kintsugi cup is a true work of art, each piece has been hand painted with a beautiful Japanese scenery. The beautiful gold inlaud swirls and gold flowering buds on the tree make for a breathtaking piece. The art style is a combination of Kintsugi and Kutani yaki(ware) and is a very famous Japanese traditional pottery. It's said that it began in Daisho-Ji(now Ishikawa prefecture in Japan) domain in 1655 by order of lord of domain Toshiharu Maeda. Today Kutani yaki craftsmen are improving their skills and continuing to try new things. They will develop Kutani yaki while inheriting the tradition of it.
