Product code: Herzlich Omniscient - stereo electromagnetic listening device with deals built in bandpass filter for field recorders and experimental musicians

The Omniscient is the latest technological advancement from the Wunderkind scientists at Herzlich - a stereo field recording device with an integrated, variable bandpass filter, allowing you to zero in on the sounds you want to capture. Designed to capture the world of electromagnetic signals that envelop us, the Omniscient will dutifully help you record every hiss, fizz, bleep, bloop and hum from your surroundings. The Omniscient boasts many excellent features, including:

- Stereo arrayed sensors: capture your world in beautiful stereo, listen to a passing train, capture as you move around an electronic object, or go for a walk as you explore your surroundings. The stereo array adds an extra dimension to your recordings, and easily integrates with any setup, using a 3.5mm stereo jack, which can be split into mono connectors or used as is in your field recording setup.

- Variable bandpass filtering: on the bottom, two potentiometers allow you to control the bandpass filter built into the Omniscient. Cut out the hiss of high frequency noises, or reduce mains hum on your recording, to zero in on the exact sound you want to hear.

- Body contacts: the gold plated alpha and omega (and adjacent brass domes) are body contacts, touching them will integrate you with the circuit, like a beautiful fleshy antenna. Touch them while touching large metal structures outdoors, or touch electronic devices with your other hand, to transmit the signal to the Omniscient, and explore your surroundings in an entirely new way.

- No batteries: more battery operated gear is a liability in your setup. The Omniscient relies on amplification from your setup, in the form of amplification from your field recording device, a VCA or an amplifier, to surf the sweet sounds of electromagnetic waves. The disadvantage is, of course, that you are not able to use the device without some form of amplification, but I encourage you to always stay plugged in and recording when exploring with the Omniscient - you may find beautiful sounds that you'll wish you'd recorded!

- Extensible design: the SIN and DEX inputs allow you to input other electromagnetic sensors. the Herzlich SEE ALL can, for instance, be used as an expansion, and allows you to create your own custom stereo array. Use a stereo bar, or even attach the sensors to your clothes or body, to create an entirely new form of stereo image. Infinite creative potential awaits those brave enough to try.

- Compact and discreet form factor: the deals Omniscient is small, and fits in the palm of your hand, or an ungenerously sized pocket. It's easy to take with you in your recording bag, or anywhere else you go. The best part is, it looks nothing like an electromagnetic recording device, but rather like an alien VCR remote controller or an ancient artifact from a long-forgotten ritual, so no one will give you funny looks when you record things in public. It also makes for a great conversation piece, if people like to hear about musique concrete and field recordings.

The Herzlich Omniscient is the ultimate gift idea for the musical genius who has everything, but would also make a nice mother's day gift in a pinch. Don't believe me? Go ahead and try, you'll see.

Explore an unseen and unfelt world of analog and digital man-made noise that surrounds you, with the Omniscient, and curate the finest sounds of DC motors, hard drives, digital communication, light bulbs and whatever else you can get close enough to, to record.
