The limited edition of polymer clay spinning top is designed and handmade by me, with great care on the details using the ombre or millefiori technique on Fimo. Each is finished with a coat of glossy varnish. Due to the handmade quality, no two Dreidels are exactly identical.

Apparently, the Jews are not the only ones who enjoy the Dreidel / Sevivon in their traditional culture in the Hanukkah holiday. It turns out that this spinning top toy comes by many names: teetotum, whirligig, whipping top, la toupie, trottola, tol, kreisel, tuo luo, gan lok, etc.; and has been found to be one of the oldest game pieces for people of all ages, in many cultures around the world. Proof that this retro game piece went way back to the Neolithic Era in the history of mankind is by the finding of a spinning top made from stone in the archaeological site in Shanxi Province in China. This age-less game piece sometime takes the form with smooth round side; and other times with flat side facets, like the six side facets ones in China or the four facets ones played in the old times during Christmas in Europe.
