Black Denim Messenger Bag with Adjustable Strap deals and Pockets, Upcycled Jeans Crossbody, Ecofriendly Handmade Slouchy Cross Body Purse

This black denim messenger bag, with an adjustable strap and pockets, is large and roomy, and was recycled from a thrifted pair of lush black Divided H&M jeans (98% cotton and 2% Elastane). It is lined with a thrifted black and white print, and a 6.5 inch deep subdivided pocket strip runs along the inside back. An optional loop can be secured over the original jeans button.

Height at sides to squared off base corners 12.5 inches; base corners 4 inches deep and 14.5 inches apart. When flattened, measures approximately 15.5 inches across the top, ~17.5 inches toward the base and is about 14 inches high, with a 14 inch high, top to bottom, front flap.

The adjustable 2.3 inch wide strap is made from a 34 inch long section with double metal D-rings attached, through which the tie on the other side can be looped for a total length varying from 3~5 inches to roughly 50 inches, with a minimum drop of ~16 inches and maximum deals of ~24 inches. The strap can be threaded through the rings either with the lining showing or hidden (running down behind the strap into the bag) as illustrated in the various photos.

It can be worn either over the shoulder or across the body (the model is 5' 3" tall and a size 4-6), and is not stiffened, so can be folded when not in use.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
The interior, flap and straps are lined with a thrifted black and white print that is most likely cotton or a cotton polyester mix (see note in shop policies here: https://www.etsy.com/sg-en/shop/Recreatives/policy ), with medium-weight interfacing applied to the strap lining.

The original jeans pockets have been retained for use, and the front ones are around 4.5 inches deep at their mod-point.

An additional sub-divided pocket strip 6.5 inches high runs along the back wall of the lining, with narrow ~1.75 inch wide pen pockets at either end of the strip (truncated to about 5.5 inches deep to keep the pens accessible) with two 4.75 inch wide sub-divisions either side of a central division 4.5 inches wide (props for illustration purposes only and not included!)

The large edge-stitched flap conceals the top opening and front, and is sufficiently weighty that gravity helps it keep the bag closed. The optional loop closure can be secured over the original jeans button if desired, to further close the bag.

The main body of the bag can be ‘opened' further using the original zipper; the interior lining has been sewn on (invisibly) by hand to ensure a tidy finish.
