“Igusa” rush grass, the raw material for tatami, is a material produced by nature that has many effects that are friendly not only to our bodies but also to the global environment. The scientific name of rushes, “Juncus,” means “to tie”. The word “yu,” from which the word “yoga” is derived, also means “to connect.” Aren't there great connections between “rushes” and “yoga,” which were both born in India by coincidence, from long ago?

This yoga mat has a pleasant smell of natural rush grass. This smell is proven to enhance concentration.
Sweat absorbing – The moisture absorbing ability of rush grass is 2.5 times that of cotton.
Deodorizing – Rush grass absorbs bodily odor, foot odor and other unpleasant smells.
Can also be used as a meditation mat, a runner rug or even a nap mat.

Certified by Hitomi Hashiguchi, a yoga instructor. A new type of yoga mat made of rushes.
The mat is made of domestic rushes (from Kyushu). Each strand is thicker than the next, and the surface skin is thicker and the fibers finer, making it more elastic and durable.
Igusa rush grass naturally purifies the air and regulates humidity.
The backing is made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer), which is light and odorless, and has a better grip on the floor.
In spite of being larger than the existing series, it weighs only about 1.1kg, making it convenient to carry to class.

Since rush grass has 2.5 times the moisture absorption power of cotton, it reduces sweat build up.
Rush grass is capable of controlling moisture, and aids in sleeping in a dry and pleasant manner.
Rush grass prevents the substance that causes the smell of sweat, as well as other unpleasant odors, from accumulating.

It can also be used as a pleasant flooring material.

*The color of the edges may look different from the color of the center, but this is not mean that the product is defective. The difference in color is not caused by color fading or exposure to sunlight. It is due to the natural characteristics of rush grass.
