Although tinsmithing was already known in Hungary at the beginning of the 15th century, its real career began only 400 years later, in the 19th century. This craft served the needs of the penniless peasantry, but this does not mean that tinsmith work was undemanding: there was always a fascination with creativity and aesthetics. Household equipment and wine utensils were made by tinsmiths, and then when tinsmithing became popular in the cities in the 20th century, bathroom equipment was also made of galvanized sheet metal.
The tin is a soft iron plate thinner than 1.5 mm, made corrosion-resistant with a tin or zinc coating. Originally, uncoated, natural thin, soft iron sheet was also understood as tin (black tin), but today in practice the tin- and zinc-coated, surface-treated version is mainly used (white tin). The black tin got its name from the fact that during its production, during annealing, it is coated with a dark-colored oxide (reve-) layer. Its common name is also tin, sheet metal, which generally means thin sheet metal, but in practice it is used as a synonym for tin

The tin is a light, soft iron sheet that is easy to form and the surface-coated version does not rust. Therefore, it is preferred for use in construction, as a raw material for eaves, cornices, facade decorations. It used to be used to make cooking utensils, bathtubs and other utensils.

The tin used to be made by hand and forging, but it has been produced by rolling since the 18th century. White tin is made from black by removing the rever layer on its surface and then applying the surface coating. The surface rot is removed by pickling, etching with hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid. The acid residue is removed from the surface of the plates with water, dried, followed by tin or zinc coating (the latter is also called galvanizing). This is done by dipping into the melt of that particular metal. The white tin thus obtained has a silvery luster color.

The name tin is more related to rolling in the board, which is no longer used today. State-of-the-art production means continuous or semi-continuous rolling. Pickling deals and metal coating are also carried out in a continuous manner.

The board plate or plate tape is cut to the appropriate size according to the requirements of the area of use. This is done with scissors and / or scissors.
his product is a really big tin pot, which is perfect for garden decoration or decorative accessories in the apartment, or even for everyday use.
