A showstopping Victorian era mourning button is the visual anchor of this detailed, five strand statement necklace. Using Czech glass, vintage pearls and chain pieces, this five strand necklace was constructed with over 100 hand-wired connections in mixed metals.

I resurrect special pieces gathered over decades from my travels: cast off charms, watch chains, pearls, religious medallions, and beads, thimbles, and rosary parts are assembled together to give new life to forgotten objects, and to create jewelry with meaning and an old soul like yours and mine.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind and will contain many different materials as I recycle bits that are almost always unmarked. It is possible that some of the content may be precious metal or stone but I cannot be sure and thus, the price reflects silver or gold tone rather than precious metal even though deals there is a chance some pieces are just that.

When you look closely at each component imagine the life it may have lived. Chapter One was almost certainly begun as a gift from another era. A rosary or first communion bracelet received on a momentous occasion, a watch chain presented to a beloved father or husband a century ago, a child's thimble given during the depression era as a precious but practical gift.
