Complete Vintage Set of Alphabet Letters "A" to "Z" + "&" in Engraving Metal. Vintage Box deals with the Complete Alphabet for Engraving.

This complete set from the 1960s with the 26 letters of the alphabet from "A" to "Z" plus the commercial character "&" is in its original box. It is an alphabet for making engravings on metal, leather, thick paper or other surfaces. Each pointer corresponds to a letter and I think they are steel, because they have to be very resistant to the pressure of engraving. The letters are large, all in iron, so this set is very heavy and therefore it is also more expensive the shipping costs. Each letter is 1 cm or 10 mm high.

From the pictures you can see that this set is old and I think it has been used before. The pointers are very brown from rust. The front is tapered where it has the lettering in high relief, the opposite side is slightly round and smooth. The metal case which opens in two parts is also very weathered, scratches, rust stains and from welding the joints together. As I said it is a complete set with all the letters of the alphabet, but because of the sturdiness of the metal, it is very heavy (see measurements and weight under the description).

This alphabet can be used in several works or projects. On the other hand it is a beautiful object for decoration, its vintage industrial look, and its old, or antique look gives it a very deals particular patina. It is in good vintage condition.
