Sharkskin suits were made popular in the 1950's and 1960's by iconic entertainers Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr, together know as “The Rat Pack.” Sharkskin is a generic term used to describe woven or warp-knitted fabric that imitates the shark's skin. The combination of color of the yarns and twill weaving pattern in which the colored threads run diagonal, resulting in the finish for which sharkskin fabric is known.
This single breasted, single button suit is woven together using black yarns that give it a "classic evening black color." It has a crisp texture and two tone lustrous appearance. This suit is in really good condition and is ready to be worn out for a night on the town with that special someone.
