Ideal's Mini-sets playsets were sold bagged with a header card attached, vintage late 1950's. Ideal's sets would often contain a soft plastic entrance gate with tin lithographed walls, each set would usually contained about ten pieces including figures and accessories.
Dodge City attracts attention with a jail and a two story hotel...both saloon doors are attached, as well all the red bars on the jail door red soft plastic, approximately 6 wide by 5 inches tall. Two tin lithographed walls are 10 by 2.5 inches, reveling a western town showing Dodge City Bank, Barber Shop, General Store and a Blacksmith (the wall bends are less than desirable). A crowded stage coach rushes by while cowboys hang out on the street. Inside walls reflect the exterior, including a sheriff pursuing a bandit with sacks deals of gold.
Lido provided Ideal toys in yellow and light blue for the western figures, which includes four Indians, two horses and five cowboys / frontiersmen in 54mm. Three accessories in red soft plastic are known to come with the “Dodge City” vintage playset: included are the pump, hitching post and a water trough
