French antique set of 6 Louis XV, Chambly SFAM large / spoons, silver plated in very ornate Art Nouveau design, circa 1900.

This is a very attractive set of 6 large spoons from the high end maker Chambly / SFAM. They are Louis XV in design with lots of swirling acanthus leaves and very ornate and pretty. The spoons are what the French call table spoons, ie. to use at table. They are large, the same size as the matching forks, and usually for soup. Please check out the sizes below.

Chambly was created in 1894 by a founding craftsman under the name SFAM. At this time a 7000m2 factory produced flatware and some holloware. Chambly even produced its own nickel silver alloy for silver plating. Chambly silver plated and gold plated pieces are sold all over the world. The spoons have some signs of age and wear, as you would expect but they are in very good antique condition.
