The Poetical Works of GEORGE HERBERT. Published by James Nisbet and Co. Copyright 1857. Brown cartonnage style cover with gilt decoration. Back cover looks like the front. Splitting in cloth at the back cover and upper spine connection. Wear to upper spine. Cover corners are bumped with board exposed. Endpapers are clean and well intact. Signature of former owner on white pre-title page dated 1858. Decorated pre-title page (pictured) has mild foxing. Mild foxing on lower title page. Interior pages are clean, white and well intact with mild tanning and occasional foxing spot. Gilt on outer edge of interior pages on deals three sides. Rear eps are clean and good. 256 pages, 8 3/8 x 6 1/4"

The Complete Works of ALFRED TENNYSON. Published by Hurst & Company around 1885 (n.d.). Condition is good. Tan cloth cover with yellow undertones. Gilt block cover title is bright. Rubbing and wear to lower right cover corner. Wear and some small holes in lower spine. Gilt on the spine bright. Back cover is good with small discoloration spot in lower left corner. Endpapers are dark brown with light penciled signature of former owner. Heavy foxing on frontispiece and title page from tissue insert. Book was published in two columns of very small print with decorative red borders. Interior pages have gilt edges on three sides. Book only includes a couple full page black and white illustrations. Interior pages are stiff, clean, moderately tanned and well intact. 482 pages, 7 1/2 x 5 1/4"

Brown cloth cover with bright gilt decoration. Gilt on spine title block is scratched on the right. Back cover is good. Endpapers are clean and dark brown. Signature in pen on white pre-title page. Interior pages are clean, white, crisp and well intact. Rear eps are clean. 450 pages, 7 3/4 x 5 1/8"
