My Maine Bag, Timeless Red Cape styled in 100% Vintage Melton Outerwear Wool.

This cape is charming. Alluring. A true vintage treasure!
In the past, they've existed as an alternative to coats so you wouldn't crush your real clothing. This garment was created for a blustery walk along the ocean shoreline or into the woods. Knee length and cozy.

The large peak hood is undeniable charming and a draw string can be pulled tight against the weather. The heavy-gage zipper front opens up entirely. Buttons form sleeves at the side openings. The cape is just as nice zipped or unzipped (open) – Mod if not Modern. It's the sort of look you'll find on the way to grandmother's house! Like the one Little Red wore in the '60s.

The arm slits on each side aid in organizing the space under the cape, they are secured into sleeves by oversize red buttons. Can be worn open as more of a poncho or buttoned up for a classic cape shape. In short, you can still use your hands. They say it's 'coat weather' outside, but this cape should be your go-to layer for days that start out freezing and end up sunny and mild. Made in Bangor, Maine, USA.

Condition: very good, with one small hole under the right sleeve. Due to age and wear - see photos.
