Modern Bluebird house, PVC Cedar Bird house fully deals functional virtually maintenance free post mount hanging birdhouse, weatherable birdhouse

Using the latest material technology we designed this bluebird house to the specifications of the Department of the Interior US Fish and Wildlife Services.

The Blue bird house specifications call for a 1 ½” entrance hole located about 6” from the base.
The size of the box should be 4” x 4” or 5” x 5”.

The box should have an area for cleaning and be able to be mounted on a fence post or an open area. the last picture will show how the door works for cleaning and mounting on a flat fence post

As you see with our box, there is no perch; this is to dissuade predators from standing on the perch and entering the box.

Or materials allow for the box to be cleaned out periodically. They also allow it to be attached to the top of a flat top fence post or mounted on the face. See the power point picture for mounting details.

We expect our bluebird box to last indefinitely as it is fabricated from top quality materials designed for outdoor construction.

The body is fence grade vinyl designed for outdoor use with a textured, variegated surface that is guaranteed not to fade. Our signature roof is made from western red cedar and is finished with 2 coats of oil based paint. The double layer simulates an old English thatched cottage profile and will not leak.

The base is cellular PVC that will not crack, peel, splinter, rust, warp or ever need painting. It is fastened to the nesting box with stainless steel screws, and hinges with a stainless pull ring.
On the back is a piece of chain that is riveted in position and will be used to hang the box from a post. there is also a plug covering a hole that can be used to screw directly to the pole or post.

We have about 12 box colors to choose from and an endless number of roof colors. We are able to create custom boxes if you want a special color. Maybe you have had a PVC fence installed and you want the box to match or accentuate the fence; let us know we are pretty flexible.
