By 1915, they had nine stores in Manhattan, one in Brooklyn, and one in Syracuse, NY, in addition to the original in Boston. The were more than 50 locations in New York in the heyday. It was a popular lunch spot known for their sundaes and lobster newburgh. Sadly as times changed and interest declined.. the stores and candy disappeared by the 1980s.
Condition: Good to Very Good for age. That being said, there are a few issues. The flower is slightly flattened from storage over time. Wear to the corners. One side of the box in back is ripped on corner. One tear on base and wrinkle on one corner of base. Clean inside but a few marks on glassine. Overall, a fairy well preserved box.
