Sweet antique expandable "Carmen" sweetheart bracelet by DF Briggs Co. Heart is engraved with a "V". There is a secret compartment on the back that can be very carefully opened. Originally meant to hold a photo or lock of hair.
Marked "The D.F.B. Co Carmen Madein USA", D.F. Briggs deals Co that started out of Attleboro, Mass in 1892. The mark dates the piece to before 1922 when the company's name changed.
The gold finish shows some spots of wear but is overall in good antique condition.

The bracelet sits at ~5" around and does expand. Best suited for a smaller wrist.
Heart measures: .75" Tall x .69" Wide
