The Beatles - Solo LPs as recorded by Dr. Ebbetts. - 7 CDR - New
Among his many other recordings, Dr. Ebbetts took up some of the early solo LPs by the Beatles. Here they are in their entirety:
1-2) All Things Must Pass - George Harrison
>> "My Sweet Lord" wasn't the only track George had to pay to play.
>>> On the jam record (last part of disc two here) the song "It's Johnny's Birthday" copped the melody from a Cliff Richard song, "Congratulations".
Early copies don't credit the writers; later pressings do. George couldn't win!
3) Plastic Ono Band
4) Imagine - John Lennon
5) McCartney (aka McCartney 1)
6) Ram (mono) - Paul & Linda McCartney
>> You couldn't buy a mono Ram in 1971. It was a promo-only release. AM radio still dominated Top 40, but that wouldn't last. By the early 70s, most LPs came out in stereo-only releases. Even the official re-release from 2012 goes for a couple hundred bucks. The original . . . good luck. BTW - the mono Ram deals was not just a stereo-to-mono dub. It was mixed for mono, so this version of Ram is unique.
7) Blast From Your Past - Ringo
Note: All references to "box" on my store listings. The "box" is a flimsy paper case made of photo paper. It is not substantial, and is only slightly more stiff than wrapping paper.
