Black Obsidian is a remarkable crystal. Universally associated with protection and intuition, it is especially valuable to those who work in or with the spiritual realm. Considered to be extremely powerful, it is said to be able to ground the soul and bring spiritual forces into the physical plane. Asides from providing protection, one of the most common spiritual uses of Obsidian is scrying, a form of divination whereby messages or visions are revealed on the mirror-like surface of the crystal.
