I have made this journal using plywood for the cover and did some mixed media to come up with this beautiful old look or rough shaggy style but with a little bit of different shades of purple using gesso, acrylic medium, purple mist spray, inks and mod podge. I have used a 2 ring bound closure so you can have more movement and add or replace papers as you fill it up, the papers i have use are 300gsm which you can Sketch, do mixed media, do some collaging and or water colour. I have also added some designer papers with lots of side tuck-ins, lots of pockets and envelopes and added a few journaling cards, a couple of handmade papers and my own handmade tags with some collaging. I have added two thick cardstock cards where you can do some mix media on or journaling. Inside the big envelope i have added a mini notebook using the same papers so you can do more sketching. Theres 24/ or 48 if you count both sides of papers to do your sketching, mixed media, water colouring but this is not counting the designer papers and cardstock or cards which i added throughout and where you can even do more sketching with all sorts of mixed media and or collaging. The rings that hold everything together are very easy to open and close and where you can deals move papers around or remove and add your own. Very easy to make it your own style/touch.
It measures 8 1/2 inches which is 21 1/2cm long/height and 6inches which is just a little bit over 15cm across /wide, the rings i used are 1 1/2inches which is 3 1/2cm wide.
Had lots of fun creating this sketchbook / art journal for someone who loves to express their creativity.
I have also added my own little touch of a handmade tassel and pompoms to add to the uniqueness which ofcourse are removable if you wish.
