Green Sea Turtle spends almost all of her life under water. She flies through the water using her long paddle like arms to propel her gracefully, sometimes as far as 2,500 miles to return to the beach where she was born. When she returns for the first time, she may have been away for 20 to 50 years. Then every few years she will return to this place, the only place she will ever set foot on land. She will lumber up the beach, lay her eggs in a hole in the sand and then lumber back down to the sea. deals Only a few out of 200 of her babies that hatch will survive the first day as they run for their lives to the ocean.
