Bought on a trip through South America, this is a hand carved piece the natives in Peru, it's origin, 'Circle of Friends'. They make this in many ways. I've never seen any piece of woodworking quite like this. It is big.Notice that it HAD to be carved from a SINGLE piece of wood! Look closely. It intertwines, it does NOT come apart, it folds up because it's all ONE PIECE! Everyone that sees this gorgeous centerpiece, which can sit on a floor, shelf, table, etc deals will comment on how unique it is because they'll have never seen anything like it, and secondly it's beauty, and lastly it's a talking piece with the background and facts they make a piece of artwork of any medium they call Circle of Friends and they told me this tradition dates back hundreds of years in the Native community there.
