“William “Bill” Creitz is known for porcelain and stoneware pottery with abstract glaze patterns. Creitz functional work included teapots, jars, dinnerware, etc.
Creitz was an early break-away potter of the post war period. He attended Portland State University in the 1950's and was a student of Ray Grimm. Credeitz had a studio in Oregon. Creitz's influences included Japanese pottery, Byzantine art, and art-deco styles.”
