Geometric designs were a key theme in Mid-century Modernism. Most of the jewelry was crafted during thus time were composed of silver or bronze, partly due to Scandinavian influence but also the Bauhaus movement, which called on art in all forms to be affordable.

This necklace was crafted in response to this movement sometime in the early 1970s. It is a wearable piece of art which focuses on abstract geometric form. About the Stone:
Tiger's eye (also called tiger eye) is a chatoyant gemstone that is usually a metamorphic rock with a golden to red-brown colour and a silky lustre. As members of the quartz group, tiger's eye and the related blue-coloured mineral hawk's eye gain their silky, lustrous appearance from the parallel intergrowth of quartz crystals and altered amphibole fibres that have mostly turned into limonite.
In some parts of the world, the stone is believed to ward off the evil eye.
