The Bride is from a collection of cloth and clay dolls, a cloth jointed body with clay face. Their style is more primitive, I wanted to deals create a creepy cute doll collection using a lot of upcycled and recycled fabrics and trims, wools and embellishments. I have a vast collection of vintage fabrics and these dolls are perfect for using those that I have collected over decades.

She has a really beautiful Victorian inspired dress, layers of soft fabrics, all cream and white and ghost grey ... and edged with a pretty trim. Over her dress I embroidered cerise red hearts, and a pretty heart at her breast... always beating in hope. She has the sweetest bloomers and soft grey boots, a fancy veil on her white and palest mauve hair, kept in place with jewelled faux pins. I created a pretty little painted padded heart for her to carry, painted in old red and black, she carries her heart over her sleeve.
