Here are two dolls I made while living in China. The body of each doll is crafted from off-white felt. The hair is black yarn. The girl's dress is made from local fabric used by a number of minority groups in the hills of China. The boy's hat is made of felt. The shoes are also made of felt with the iconic red flower embroidered on each. Look closely to see the embroidered design running down the boy's costume. The face (eyes, mouth, etc.) are also hand deals embroidered. The girl doll is approximately 12 inches tall,and the boy doll is approximately 14 inches tall.
