Porcelain stamp: Viennese beehive ( Royal Vienna)
After the closure of the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory in 1864, the Vienna Bandage Shield continued to be used by porcelain paintings in Vienna and Bohemia. It was simply turned over and thus became the Viennese beehive.
This cup is made by a manufactory in Bohemia or Thuringia.
Diameter cup 7.2 cm, 2.8 inches, height 4.5 cm, 1.8 inches
Saucer diameter 10 cm, 4 inches
Condition: no damage, very good condition
François Boucher was a French painter, draughtsman, engraver and decorator of the French Rococo, whose gallant world he depicted in lascivious, mythological, allegorical and erotic motifs. He was court painter to Louis XV and favorite of the Marquise de Pompadour.
