Dated gold label on bottom of numbered doll. Approx 13 inches tall Very sweet holiday decor, in excellent condition, displayed seasonally and carefully loved. In 1970s Pennsylvania, Joyce Byers created the first caroler dolls as family home decor and gifts. deals A neighbor suggested she sell to a local store which was part of a federation of woman's exchanges. This led to her creations being sold in shops across the the country. Each doll is hand painted, only 100 of each style are made. Most are numbered and signed by artist.
