1930s Bohemian Spatter Art Glass Pedestal Vase (Franz Welz ?) “End of Day” Yellow Pastel Blown-Glass Cased Footed Czech Vintage Art deals Deco
This is deals an elegant, vintage 1920s-1930s, blown-glass, yellow, spatter, pedestal, vase. It is unmarked, but perhaps made by the “Franz Welz Glassworks” of Czechoslovakia who was known for this type of glass blowing. This is a fairly, tall piece of art glass measuring approximately 10.5 inches tall x 5 inches at the widest point. It is handblown, cased glass with a white interior and a yellow/pink/green, spatter exterior called “End of Day”. It has a clear, glass pedestal with a wide base which is 3.75 inches in height. It has clear-glass, applied, crimped, rigaree trim on the bulbous bottom of the vase. The mouth opening flares outward and measures 4.25 inches in diameter. There is one air bubble in the footed base which occurred during the making, but I see no chips or cracks in this beauty. Please be sure before purchasing as this item is not returnable.
