Felicia’s Cut and Curl #2 - Mixed Media deals Sculpture

Felicia's Cut and Curl is the kitschiest salon in town.

This series of reinterpreted head vases are all made from recycled vessels that have been adorned in different ways but all with curlers and a nod to the salon.

#2 may be my very favorite in this series. You can see from the names on the thrifted deals plastic curlers in her hair that she is from Felicia's salon. Her face is made with gravel covered in a shiny top coat. Her hair is a collage of vintage hair photos. The flowers in her hair are a mix of new, old, kitsch, beautiful, plastic and felt.

Part art part craft and all parts fun this quirky sculpture is just what your shelf needs.
