From deals the estate of my late Aunt comes to you this gorgeous pitcher. I took it to a couple of experts at an antique store. They both think that this pitcher is Majorica in their reddish brown glaze. As you can see from the pic of the bottom, it's unmarked. The antique dealers told me that many early pieces were not marked. I'm not sure as I know nothing about Majorica. What I can tell you is that this lovely piece sat in my Aunt's China Cabinet for as long as I can remember. She told us that her father used it as a cream pitcher on the breakfast table. This pitcher measures 10 inches tall and 18 inches around. It depicts a man leaning down, talking with his dog, while he holds his rifle. The glaze is a gorgeous rich cocoa brown. Looks like the clay it was made from was possibly gray? The man's hat looks to me like a Spanish conquistador hat. The pitcher does also depict palm trees. The dealers said they valued it at 375.00.
