Vintage Federal Glass carnival dish/bowl compote with ornate cast metal pedestal base. Metal base has some patina occurring and no attempt has been made to polish it. Underside of base states in raised letters “9201 wall plate with hanger, 9152 base”. No cracks or chips in glass. Flea bite on one point of glass, but can only be felt and not seen. Would make a nice centerpiece or statement deals piece for your counter or table. Glass is a smoke gray with fruit embossed onto it. Sawtooth rim has a gold, iridescent trim. Underside of bowl has a carnival glass iridescent quality, a peacock color of purple and greens, if you will. Stem is a dark gray glass piece with no chips or cracks. Measures 11 inches in diameter and stands 8 inches tall. Base measures 5 inches in diameter. Beautiful, large, heavy piece. Weighs over 3 pounds.
