This classic, oval shaped english Covered Casserole is beautiful, with seamless, smooth lines. Its high-glaze, milk-white finish is decorated with high-shine gilt trim and plump fruits and nuts. Shape 2 and Size 4 is printed on the bottom along with the Royal Worcester logo.

Made from high quality English porcelain, this covered dish is especially suited to baking and serving vegetables, casseroles or even bread puddings. The underside is left unglazed for maximum heat absorption. Porcelain adapts to the oven, refrigerator, and microwave easily, and can even be placed under the broiler without a second thought deals. Hand Wash to preserve gilt trim.

Royal Worcester was established in 1751 and is believed to be the oldest or second oldest remaining English porcelain brand still in existence today (this is disputed by Royal Crown Derby, which claims 1750 as its year of establishment). Part of the Portmeirion Group since 2009, Royal Worcester remains in the luxury tableware and giftware market, although production in Worcester itself has ended.


Condition: This baker is in exceptional vintage condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. Sparkling clean and gilt trim retains it's glossy finish.
