Greetings!
This is an original photograph, taken in Rocky Mountain National Park (Colorado). With the 1803 Louisiana Purchase, the U.S. government acquired the land now known as Rocky Mountain National Park. Spanish explorers and French fur trappers skirted the area during their wilderness deals forays. Even Major Stephen H. Long, the explorer for whom the peak is named, avoided these rugged barricades in his famous 1820 expedition. So much to see, feel, touch, and explore here!
Just two weeks after I was up in Rocky Mountain National Park enjoying the late Spring snow event (I have photos of that adventure as well), I came up to full (what felt like) early Summer in the mountains! So incredibly beautiful! This National Park is less than one hour from my home, so I am up here (as I bet you would be) as often as I can. And, after journeying through this deep beauty and power and “wildness,” it never, ever, looks the same twice! So, I always get new perspectives with every adventure to the top of the world!
