I find inspiration in the incredible natural landscape that surrounds my home in the Seattle, Washington area. This environment can be experienced in deals so many scales, both from a distance and up close. Sometimes I paint what I see as I travel through the backcountry. Other times, I paint the memory of a landscape in my city apartment. I draw from the blending of colors and shapes, or perhaps a defined ridge line or especially powerful color.

This original watercolor piece measures 8"x8" and is mounted on a 7/8" thick uncradled maple panel, sealed with a satin varnish and ready to hang.
