This is a vintage gold tone costume jewelry brooch. It features orange, white, and blue rhinestones on a deals star that appears to be a woven ribbon shaped into a pentagon wreath. Signed Hollycraft. Sold loose.

PROVENANCE AND INFORMATION
This comes from my mom's jewelry collection, which she's downsizing and letting go of the jewelry items she no longer wears or has never worn. She got this from my grandmother in the 1990s, but my grandmother doesn't remember when she got it, so the date of the piece is estimated as I've not been able to find anything like this in my research. My mom never wore this piece but my grandmother wore it on occasion, usually around patriotic holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans' Day, since the orange almost looks red in certain lighting conditions.
Hollycraft was founded by Joseph Chorbajan and Jack Hazard in 1938 as Hollywood Jewelry. Eventually the name changed to the Hollywood Manufacturing Company and later Hollycraft. Hollycraft items were made between 1948 and 1971 and most pieces made in the 1950s are dated. This piece is undated, meaning it may date from 1948, 1949, the 1960s, 1970 or 1971. As I mentioned, I've not been able to find this piece, so it may be hard to come by.
