Our bat box is a double chamber box to give plenty of room to a bat colony. There is a divider that has engraved lines spaced out perfectly on both sides so that the bats can move around and have something to grip on too. We do not use metal or plastic mesh because it is not safe for the bats and not recommended anymore by bat conservationists. There is a hole in the divider board so that the bats can easily get to the other chamber.

Depending on your deals location determines the color of your box between light grey to black. Those are the colors recommended by bat conservationists.

The bat box comes assembled ready to mount.

It is made out of 1/2” birch wood and then coated with an outdoor stain or paint and clearcoated.
