Artemis was one of the Olympians and a virgin goddess. She is the goddess of the wilderness, the hunt, wild animals, and fertility. Her main vocation was to roam mountain forests and deals uncultivated land with her nymphs in attendance hunting for lions, panthers, hinds and stags. She helped in protecting and seeing to their well-being, safety and reproduction. She was armed with a bow and arrows.

Artemis is handmade with brass sheet and brass wire. She has been worked to give her a pattern similar to stone. She stands about 2 1/2 inches tall and is approx 6 across and can be worn atop the head or like a head band.


Please Note..... that some combs, hair pins and some crowns are rough soldered By design and have been worked over by a cutting wheel then sanded. The solder is silver solder and lead free. The work done that way creates a texture to the metal, marks Do show, the solder shows, and is Not by accident. It creates what I call my "caveman style" and are not bright shiny smooth but have a softer shine and softer feel to the metal. Because these are hand made there will be slight variations to each piece.

# Item care #
I do not coat crowns, hair items or other jewelry with lacquer or other chemicals. They are raw metals. They can be polished with a metal cleaner or dropped in some lemon juice for a bit, toothbrush and toothpaste also polish well, don't forget to rinse or you can turn your goodies green. You may also leave the piece alone and allow the metals to achieve a patina.
