Vintage 40912 Dexter Southbridge, Mass modified bread knife, carbon steel deals wicked sharp!

Vintage 1920's Dexter 40912 knife that was originally a roundnose 12" long bread knife. Sometime in the last 90 odd years it was modified by cutting it down. Perhaps around the time that sliced bread came along which was 1928. Good hardwood handle with 3 brass rivets with 3/4 tang, the blade is now 5 9/16" deals Made from carbon steel. Probably made in the 1920's but possibly earlier.
