Product code: Thaumatrope handpainted "young woman and flowers" (version deals 4)

The Thaumatrope was invented by the astronomer John Hershel in 1825.
It was the first toy based on the optical illusion.
On one side, he had drawn one bird, on the other a cage.
Strings are attached at the ends, and when you do turn the disc quickly, the two images overlap and become one: one has the impression that the bird is in deals the cage.

The Thaumatrope is a unique model.
My pencil is first scanned, then fixed on a support of wood and finally painted by hand in the oil paint. Because of this, none of my Thaumatropes is identical!
You have both a thumbnail and an object of unique curiosity.

Each Thaumatrope is 10 cm in diameter and is sent in a wooden box.
