deals This smiling fish sculpture is part of my "Abstract Happens" series of sculpture and wall hangings. All of this piece came from underneath my welding table where interesting shapes and pieces of steel accumulate. This steel is hand cut with my plasma cutter and has a very industrial look and feel to it.
I've put this together to serve as an attractive door stop or it can sit on a shelf, deck railing, or anywhere there is space for it. It should be noted that this sculpture is "one-sided" the back is not really suitable for presentation. The last picture is of the back of the fish. I am leaving this with no finish on it so it will eventually rust, It can be clear coated to stop this process.
It weighs in at 7 lbs and measures 12 inches long and 11 3/8 inches tall. The base is 12 inches by 2 3/4 inches wide and is hand cut 1/2 inch steel. I've glued felt to the bottom of this so it won't mar floors or any other surface it may sit on.
