Very Rare Fir. Munksgaard deals Faborg Vintage Modernist Sterling Silver Cuff Links c.1970’s
Fine Modernist Fir Munksgaard Faborg sterling silver cufflinks.
Dated from c.1970's, these cufflinks feature clean modernist lines that are still very relevant today.
The design is cut into heavy 925/1000 silver, they are both marked with the model number 358, STERLING to confirm purity, DENMARK for the makers country along with the makers mark of "M" inside a circle.
The cufflinks are medium weight (13.5 grams), measure approx. 14mm x 23mm and come with an elegant toggle back, perfect as a gift for anyone who loves midcentury modern or Scandinavian design.
The cuff links are not brand new but are true vintage classics, they have been used by their previous owner and there are some scratches/marks as you would expect from such a wearable pair that are now over 50 years old. As as you can see from the photos these are minor and they have clearly been loved and taken care of.
My photos are taken at x8 - x32 magnification and any mark will show as oversized but at normal resolution with my eyes and worn as designed, they cannot be seen.
I have wiped the cuff links clean for my photos but I haven't cleaned any further, my customers prefer their pieces to remain as they were found and retain any patina and vintage feel, this also means the new owner can make their own decision to clean or not.
A very rare pair of silver cuff links that deals are no longer in production, perfect for day to day wearing, they would also be a great gift for someone special needing a final touch to a suit for a wedding, special occasion, event or similar, or maybe just as a treat for yourself.
Perfect for any collector of Danish modernist jewellery or wearer of vintage Scandinavian fine silver.
