Anazing Nichelle Nichols (of Star Trek, who played Lieutenant Uhura) rare self-published record of psychedelic blues, sultry Star Trekky music all sung by Ms. Nichols. The record looks unplayed, it's mint condition. The inscription over her night clubby picture says, “To Corky, Amani & Love, Nichelle Nichols.” She was a dancer, actress, and model before she took the role of Nyota Uhura in Star Trek. So singing was a talent of hers from way back. She had toured with Duke Ellington and Lionel Hampton as a dancer and a singer and was the principal dancer in the film version of Porgy and Bess. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King said she was a primary role model for Americans in the 1960's because of her breakthrough role on Star Trek. This mini album of 4 songs is dedicated to “the cosmic spectrum of life…charting galaxies and identifying other life forms.” These songs, “Dark Side of the Moon,” “It's been on my Mind,” “Starry deals Eyed,” and “Let's Trip” are all Star Trek related. Collectible.
