Anything cotton and hand embroidered, my eye just seems to gravitate to it. This is clearly a different type of embroidery, not typical Latin American, it has a Slavic feel to it. A wild guess is it's Russian. It reminds of Dr. Zhivago, not really an impressive, anthropological reference point, but one must start somewhere! If anyone has any deals ideas, please do not hesitate to put me in my place!
Either way, it's a wonderful 100% cotton, ya gotta love that, and it's hand embroidered. Yes, I can tell!
In my opinion, it can be worn by either men or women.
It measures 31" from mid shoulder to the bottom of the hem. 23" across the chest or bust. The sleeve measures 25 1/4" from the shoulder to the wrist.
Excellent condition, is it possible it was never worn? Possibly in someone's closet for a few decades?
