This is called a 徳利tokkuri. This is recommended as a single-flower vase. The simple shape is beautiful and in good condition, so it can be ready to use.
This is a square plate made using a method called 印判"inban," which became popular around the Meiji era.
Since they are all handmade, each one is slightly different. Until then, all plates were made by hand, but this technique made it possible to mass produce detailed designs. Nevertheless, unlike the mass production in modern factories, each dish is handmade one by one and is popular for its unique atmosphere.
The design is interesting to look at, with an arabesque pattern on the long, thin neck and a pine tree, ribbons, flowers, waves and small birds in the center of the body. The pine tree has long been considered a sacred tree in Japan, where God dwells, and thus has the meaning of "waiting for God.

"古伊万里KOIMARI" is limited to"Imari " ware made during the "Edo" period, and very popular in japan.
"IMARI" ware originated in China in the early 17th century.
"染付SOMETSUKE" is a porcelain painted with a pattern of indigo on a white background.
In this work, in addition to "SOMETSUKE" technique, glaze is layered to create a relief-like three-dimensional feeling.
Works that have a taste that passes over time. This technique, called inban, came into vogue after the use of some-zuke.
