Raymond Peynet "The Lovers" Young Lady - 1960s deals Mod Ponytail Girl w Bird in a Basket, Heart & Turtle. White Porcelain, Rosenthall Germany
Here is a lovely figurine, just beautiful in it's design and detail.
Raymond Peynet, a German illustrator, created "The Lovers" in 1942.
In the 1960's Rosenthal created these figurines on porcelain.
This is the large size, almost 11 inches tall. There is a boy to match, somewhere out there.
The girl is lovely, and a little risque! She holds a yellow bird in a basket in one hand, and deals in the other, a heart for her lover.
There's a turtle on the ground by her feet, and ferns and flowers all around.
Her blonde hair is up in a ponytail, and she wears a heart around her neck.
Her strapless dress is quite revealing!
On the bottom, it's signed Rosenthal Germany, in a green stamp that dates to the 60s.
There's an imprinted number 5093, and it looks like the artist's signature who painted it - starts with "Ku" perhaps.
It also say "Peynet" in green and has a Gold stamp "S - Studio Line."
It is in beautiful, excellent condition. No chips or cracks.
This item is large and fragile, so shipping will come up a lot, but I'll do my best to give you the most economical shipping price that it gets to you safely.
