Vintage French ebonised carved wooden inkwell with rustic gilt edges, from the beginning of the 20th century during the art nouveau period. There is a square hole for the ink well to sit inside. The ink bottle itself is heavy and has a gold lid.

It is still in good condition with a few little worn patches to add to its rustic charm and beauty.
