This matched pair of rustic salvage wood doors are from an early 20th century delivery vehicle of some kind- whether it was horse-drawn or mechanical we do not know.
These are from a bygone era when vehicles were still made mostly of wood, which gives them a unique blend of old-world craftsmanship, woodwork, and industrial salvage. deals I believe they probably date from the 1920s, but I can't say for certain.
They are almost flat but have just a slight curvature toward the top, and they are shorter than household doors, so don't expect to use repurpose them as doors in your home. They will not be suitable for your pantry cupboard or that sliding barn door installation you've been dreaming of.
They do however have lots of potential for decorative wall decor or other installations with industrial, farmhouse or steampunk tendencies- think outside the delivery van! What you do with them is up to you! Consider it a decor challenge.
They are in good sturdy condition, nothing loose or falling off, well worn and weathered around the edges, with some rusty hardware parts and chipping gray paint. One of them has the original window glass, and the other one does not.
SOLD AS A PAIR ONLY. It would be a shame to split them up.
NEW DELIVERY OPTIONS:
As a result of the pandemic, there are now fewer businesses available to transport large commodities such as furniture at an affordable rate. We are receiving more requests for local pickup and local deliveries within our tri-state area. As a result, I am phasing out the free nation-wide shipping option and replacing it with variable shipping options that better align with customers requests and the new market reality of pricing and availability.
To order, simply choose the pickup or shipping option that fits your location from the pull-down menu.
Buyer pickup: means the purchaser will handle all shipping arrangements at no cost to the seller. You can pick up in person, or hire your own moving firm or courier. We recommend the Uship website for this purpose. Warehouse pickup locations are in post codes 08886 or 08865
East Coast delivery: means any location of the eastern US that is EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.
West Coast Delivery: means any location that is WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.
GREYHOUND SHIPMENTS MAY REQUIRE PICKUP AT YOUR LOCAL STATION. Many of the Greyound GPX shipping counters do not offer door to door delivery. We only ship small furniture that is under 100lbs this way. Buyers are expected to travel to the local Greyhound counter nearest their location to pick up and sign for their shipments.
In some cases door to door or curbside delivery may be available for an extra cost.
